You have finally made it to the last post about our first trip to St.Louis. We did so many things that it took three posts to be able to tell you about it all. I will definitely be posting more about St.Louis in the future. It is one of our favorite places to travel to, and we just keep going back and finding more things to do!

Grant’s Farm

So, after we left the Shaved Duck (which you can read about in my last post here). We decided to go to Grant’s Farm which was about 20 minutes from downtown St.Louis. My husband and I almost went to the Budweiser Brewery because we love beer and he really wanted to see the Clydesdales. But my love for animals won him over and he decided to go to Grant’s Farm to make me happy. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that Grant’s Farm actually has some of the Clydesdales there on the farm. So, my husband was pretty happy. They are such big, beautiful creatures.

You do not pay to get into the farm, but it is $15 for parking and $35 if you are in a bus or RV. If you want to feed the goats or parakeets it will cost $1.50. A camel ride is $6 and carousel rides are $2.

The first thing you do at Grant Farm’s is get on their tram. They take you through their farm and right through the middle of their animals which include deer, buffalo, zebras, and more. The tram drops you off in another area of the farm where you can walk around and look at the animals. You can feed the big goats and parakeets in this area, see the Clydesdales, and ride the camels.

You can also go in the pen with the baby goats and bottle feed them or brush them. I just had to bottle feed them. They were so adorable! You can stay in the pen for as long as you’d like.

There is a food court in this area of the farms and each person gets two free samples of beer. My husband and I were expecting the samples to be in small cups, but they were regular servings. Basically, you get two free beers. They have some great food including pizza, pretzels, and bratwurst.

These guys were the best! They kept trying to eat the strings off my jeans.

Grant’s Farm is a great trip for families! It’s great for adults, too. But kids would really enjoy everything Grant’s has to offer. We have been two more times since this trip and love it every time!

Ruth’s Chris Steak House

I had heard my dad talk about Ruth’s Chris before and how much he wanted to go there. I found out there was one right by our hotel and thought it would be a great birthday surprise for my husband. It was so romantic. They seated us in the wine room for some extra privacy.

My husband and I love trying new things. My parents have talked several times about how good Ahi Tuna was, so we decided to give it a try. I am really glad we tried it at Ruth’s Chris first. It was delicious!

We both ordered filet’s and a baked potato. They serve the filet to you on 500* plates. I have never tasted a better steak (or baked potato) than that one. My husband would not order steak anywhere else for a while after visiting Ruth’s Chris because he said there was no way it would be as good as the one he had there. He’s right.

Delicious

Ruth’s Chris is a more expensive meal, so we could not afford to go there often. But it is definitely worth saving up for special events or if you want to spurge on yourself and enjoy and excellent meal and dining experience. It was one of the best experiences we’ve had.

I hope you enjoyed these three posts on St.Louis. Be sure to subscribe so you can keep up with more trips and definitely more St.Louis stories!
