*We were hosted by Texas de Brazil for our son’s first birthday. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*

We like to take our kids on trips for their birthday instead of having parties. We had much rather give them experiences and make memories with them. This weekend, we visited Memphis, Tennessee, for our son’s first birthday.

The Experience

Our son loves food, but he REALLY loves meat. What better place to take a meat-lover than Texas de Brazil? They have a chef-crafted salad bar, all-you-can-eat grilled meat, a variety of authentic hot dishes, and some amazing desserts!

Texas de Brazil continues the tradition of Brazilian feasts known as churrasco. In Brazil, the gauchos (local cowboys) will slow-roast meats over open flames and present an impressive display of seasonal greens, vegetable dishes, and regional delicacies. The succulent meats are brought to each group’s table and carved in a show of skill and festive offering.

This is the experience that makes Texas de Brazil so special! Simply, turn your card to green, and expert carvers generously serve you sizzling beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage. If you need a break, just turn your card to red. You can treat yourself to a wide array of chef-crafted salads, roasted vegetables, imported cheeses and charcuterie. The house-baked cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes, and fried bananas were all a big hit with our daughter, and their signature cocktail (the Caipirinha) was a big hit with mommy!

Our Meal

You begin your meal with a variety of salad options that you can simply check off and give to your server. There is also the option to make your own salad by selecting whatever you want from the list.

When you are ready for the main course, you simply flip your card over to green and the gauchos will stop by your table with a variety of meats. Everything that we tried was hot and delicious! Our son loved the Flank Steak. My favorite was the Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Breast and the Filet. My husband and I were also surprised at how well we liked the Lamb. We thoroughly enjoyed everything that we tried.

Dessert

You have to be mindful to save room for dessert! They have a variety of options that are just as amazing as everything else that they serve. They brought our son a Brazilian Cheesecake with a candle to blow out. Their other options include Crème Brûlée, Bananas Foster Pie, Carrot Cake, Brazilian Papaya Cream, Key Lime Pie, Chocolate Mousse Cake, and Flan.

Conclusion

Our visit was wonderful. The staff were all very friendly and our server was exceptional! He was especially attentive to our daughter and she enjoyed talking to him. Texas de Brazil is a great place to eat that is sure to have something everyone will love! Follow them on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/texasdebrazil/
