Some of the best food in Searcy won’t be found at a restaurant. Instead, Simply Southern Cuisine is a food truck that sits off of Main St and serves up some of the best burgers and specials around!
The Food
One of the first things we tried when they first opened was their All-American burger and loaded fries. The burger was easily the best one we’ve had in Searcy, and believe me, we have tried them from everywhere. There are some decent burgers from a few restaurants around here, but all of them just fell short of what we consider a good burger. Simply Southern’s burgers are perfectly seasoned and juicy.
We tried the loaded fries both ways. Mine was chicken, bacon, and ranch. My husband’s was pulled pork, cheddar, and BBQ sauce. They were so good! We were so impressed by these burgers and loaded fries that we knew we would be trying more from them.
Valor went to pick up our food on one of the first trips, and it happened to be National Ice Cream Day. They were giving away ice cream, and he thought that was the best thing ever! After that, every time we would pass the food truck, he would say, “Momma, look! That’s my best friend!” He looks forward to going and seeing them on the weekends, and especially loves the sweet treats. He surprised us last night and actually tried my burger from there and LIKED it! This is such a big deal because I have a hard time getting him to eat beef. His sister loves burgers, and she asked to try it. She now wants us to ask for a kid’s burger next time we go. Our youngest couldn’t be left out either. She tried some of the burger and loved it, too! So all three of our kids approve of the burgers!

I think the loaded mac n cheese has been my favorite from them! I was a little apprehensive when I ordered it just because I am not a huge fan of bbq sauce. I usually think that they’re too sweet. However, they make their own bbq sauce, and it was the perfect amount of sweetness with a little tang.
I love a good chicken sandwich, and unfortunately, there aren’t any in Searcy that I would order again. I feel like Searcy is really just missing good, quality food with fresh ingredients, and that is exactly why we keep going back to Simply Southern Cuisine. Well, that and the fact that Valor has to go see his best friends.
Okay, I know that I said the BBQ Chicken Mac N Cheese was my favorite, BUT I forgot about the Southern Stacked Club with their homemade pimento cheese. It was amazing! Also, their fried okra is my absolute favorite side.
So, this is their Piggy Dilla with added mac n cheese and jalapenos! It was so loaded that I needed a fork to eat it. Super good and had half left over for the next day. That is another thing that makes Simply Southern Cuisine so good. They do not skimp on the food. We have had leftovers from every special that we’ve gotten from them because there is just so much food. And yes, it tastes just as good the next day!
One of their unique appetizers is the Arkansas Caviar. It’s black-eyed pea salsa in a vinaigrette. It is so addictive. Highly recommend that you try it. Also, I think that one of my favorite burgers has been the Spicy Southern Spread. It has spicy pimento cheese, pepper jack, bacon, and their housemade sauce. They did a special version that had pepper jelly on it that I knew I had to try! I sent a picture to my parents, and then they had to go get one. They both loved it. My mom then sent a text to my Uncle to go try it, and he thought it was one of the best burgers he’s had. He also got to try the pecan cobbler and was very impressed.
Y’all, if you know me at all, you know that I LOVE nachos! As I mentioned before, I am not a huge fan of BBQ sauce, so I normally would not even consider ordering nachos with BBQ sauce on them. But, since I had tried the BBQ chicken mac n cheese, I knew that I loved their BBQ sauce and that it was going to be fantastic on some nachos. I was right! These were so delicious. There was not a single chip that was not covered in the toppings. I have been so disappointed with nachos from other places, because I always get nachos that have a ton of chips and very few toppings. Just another example of how much food they give you.

As you can see from their menu, there is something for everyone. So, be sure to give them a try! Their hours are Friday 5pm-10pm, Saturday 11am-9pm, and Sunday 4pm-9pm.
