We have a tradition of taking our kids on trips for their birthdays. This year, we did our longest road trip with them yet and went to Cincinnati, OH! We were so excited that The Summit Hotel hosted us for this trip. Keep reading to see what we love about this gorgeous and sleek hotel.
The Hotel
As soon as we pulled up to the hotel my daughter said, “Mama, please can I see your phone so I can take a picture of this hotel.” She was in awe of how big it was (and I was, too)! The 239-room hotel has 32,600 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space including nearly 11,000 square feet of terrace and gardens. Some of the amenities include:

Our Room
We stayed in a Deluxe Double Queen Room. The room featured a mini-refrigerator, 55-inch LED TV, Keurig coffee machines, Zero% bath amenities, plush towels, microfiber bath robes, and Numeris by Digilock Drawer Safe. The bathrooms were very sleek and we had a very spacious shower which is hard to find in most hotels. We were on the 6th floor which allowed us to look down onto the terrace on the 4th floor. The kids were excited to sit by the window and watch someone sing and play music one night.
The Art
The Summit Hotel definitely delivers on its promise of sophisticated style. Stepping into the lobby was an experience in itself. It takes a moment for you to be able to take it all in. There are beautiful works of art in every corner, as well as a 5,800 sq ft art gallery that showcases rotating exhibitions of contemporary works by national and regional artists as well as exhibitions featuring selections from private regional collections. The current exhibition features Mark Patsfall and Clay Street Press.
The Food
Hungry? The Summit Hotel has you covered! The Overlook Kitchen + Bar is your go-to for cocktails made with fresh, local ingredients and irresistible dishes featuring local, seasonal produce and artisan meats. Grab a seat at the bar or head to the 3,800 sq ft outdoor patio for cocktails and conversation alongside commanding views.
The Market has dishes prepared to order by their chefs using the freshest available ingredients. The urban contemporary dining room wraps around a beautiful open kitchen and features rich wood textures, stunning views, and comfortable seating indoors and on the patio. The Market also offers private dining rooms with full audio-visual amenities.
If you’re looking for a quick fix then Brew & Barrel is a great option! It features fresh-brewed coffee and on-the-go breakfast sandwiches and pastries in the morning.
