I have an amazing Veteran-owned company to share with you guys today. Relic Wood sent us a custom memorial box for my husband’s grandfather who recently passed away. I knew I wanted something special for the family to honor him because he was such a special person. Relic Wood has so many options to choose from! I customized their Military Retirement Keepsake Shadow Box and made it into a memorial box. Keep reading to see the entire process and pictures!

Our Project
The products from Relic Wood are completely customizable. When you pick out the product online, you have the option to upload all of your pictures right then. Once the order has gone through, you are put into contact with one of their designers who will email you and give you options on how the pictures can be placed on the product. Aside from the photos, you can also customize a name plate, felt color, and a plaque for the box. The entire process was so easy! Once they receive your approval on all the pictures and where you want them placed, they will then begin the design process.

The box came with a tray that sits inside the box and has slots for challenge coins. You could also include the plaque on the tray. However, we did not have a lot of writing on our plaque and decided that it would look better on the felt.
This box has a spot for a 3×5 flag underneath the tray. We placed some of his grandpa’s special belongings in the bottom of the box with the flag.
